Constructive meeting between Nautilus and Stena Line Pte Ltd ahead of pay and conditions review

On 5 September, Nautilus International officials and liaison officers met with Stena Line representatives at the company’s offices in Glasgow for the 15^th Joint National and Consultative Committee meeting.

The meeting covered issues including the SMART Pension scheme, officer vacancies, the Stena cadet programme, ETO officer rank structure and mental health awareness.

Nautilus head of industrial Micky Smyth said: ‘We will shortly be seeking members’ aspirations, ahead of the pay and conditions review which commences with a meeting arranged for discussions on 28 November 2024.’

New passport-stamping protocol for yacht crew in Barcelona

Nautilus is reminding yacht crew that Barcelona has a new passport-stamping policy in place, which applies to non-EU arrivals at the port: if you don't show a Seaman's Discharge Book, you don't get a stamp.
