Maritime professionals who are keen runners but missed out on a ballot for the 2022 London Marathon can still apply for guaranteed places with maritime welfare charity Sailors' Society.
Sailors' Society – which recently also launched a Ukraine Appeal to support seafarers affected by the Russia-Ukraine conflict – is looking for dedicated fundraisers with a passion for running to take on the world’s most famous marathon, to be held on 2 October 2022.
To enter runners will need to pay a registration fee of £100 and commit to a minimum fundraising amount of £2,000.
In 2021, a Nautilus member who trained for months onboard ship completed the 2021 London Marathon in aid of Sailors' Society – and to raise awareness of the challenges seafarers faced due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
- Apply now to secure your space and raise funds for seafarers and their families in need around the world
