Following a consultation, Nautilus International members with P&O Ferries (Jersey) Ltd, P&O North Sea (Jersey) Ltd and P&O Irish Sea (Jersey) have voted – at a ratio of four to one – to accept a pay offer submitted to the Union.
The offer includes:
- an increase of 1.3% on base pay (and therefore all pay items driven by the base pay rate) backdated to 1 January 2021
- an increase of 3% on base pay (and therefore all pay items driven by the base pay rate) with effect from 1 January 2022
- a £300 lump sum to be paid on or about 1st January 2022 in return for an early agreement without disruption on this pay offer
'I have written to the company confirming members' acceptance,' said Nautilus head of industrial Micky Smyth, 'with the caveat that, should any other group negotiate an offer over and above what has been agreed by Nautilus, then this will also be applied to the officers who fall under our collective bargaining agreement.
'Likewise, should another group negotiate any other improvement to their terms and conditions, we would expect this to be extended to our members if applicable.
'We have also requested for the uplift to be backdated as soon as possible.'
