Following a successful cross-transport inclusion summit during London International Shipping Week last year, Maritime UK, will host a similar meeting for all women and male allies in transport on 12 October 2022.
The latest transport sector event will provide an opportunity for sharing broader best practice on breaking down barriers to careers across the sector, and will discuss how to encourage more women into a wide spectrum of transport careers.
Last year the meeting attracted participants from aerospace and automotive industries as well as women in maritime.
The planned hybrid meeting will feature expert guest speakers and networking opportunities as well as a seminar. Further details will soon be announced.
The transport summit was announced at a recent Maritime UK Women in Maritime Network meeting hosted by the Port of Tyne, which marked the second anniversary since the Diversity in Maritime programme launched.
