All hands on deck : new residential and office complex gears up for occupation at Nautilus Mariners' Park
14 August 2024
A new complex combining additional seafarer retirement apartments and the Union's head office – is gearing up for occupation at Nautilus Mariners' Park in the north-west of England.
The construction was begun on 17 July 2023 by the builders, John Turner Construction Group and the complex is now set for a handover and occupation beginning in early September. The award-winning combined multi-million pound investment scheme includes 27 apartments and the Union's head office.
A handover for the new building is expected in September from the construction company – pending the completion of final electrical and water mains connections works; installation of the associated meters and testing; and some internal work. Occupation by residents and staff will begin soon after the handover.
The investment in Mariners' Park won Nautilus Regional Deal of the Year in the 2022 Mersey Maritime Industry Awards – cited that year as 'the most significant deal in the maritime industry within the Liverpool City Region and greater North West'. Nautilus was recognised as best in class for investing in jobs and services in the greater Merseyside area.
