Nautilus International's Young Maritime Professionals Forum is a great place to chat with other cadets from across the country, meet officers who can help you to shape your future career, and guide the Union's campaigning on behalf of young people in the shipping industry.
As a democratic trade union, Nautilus International relies on members to guide our campaigning work.
Tell us what matters to you
Our Forums are the place to share your concerns. They have helped to shape the maritime industry for the better – for example, our members led the charge to demand that employers across Europe adopt anti-bullying and harassment policies.
The Young Maritime Professionals Forum is part of Nautilus's wider Equality and Diversity Forum. It's your place to help decide the future of the Union, so come along and tell us about the issues that matter to you.
You'll also have the opportunity to get directly involved with Nautilus's campaigns on behalf of cadets and other seafarers.
Answers from the experts
Who better to answer your questions than other cadets and young officers?
The YMP Forum is a great place to socialise and find solutions from maritime professionals who have been in the same situation as you.
Because YMP is open to all members under 35, you'll be able to ask young officers about their career decisions options and get answers to your question about life and work at sea.
Sign up today
The YMP Forum meets at least twice a year, either online or in person/hybrid.
Find the date for the next forum on our events page, or email ymp@nautilusint.org to register your interest.
